Panoramic views of Croagh Patrick, Clew Bay and its islands. Ideal for angling, boat trips, golf, scenic walks and drives.
This area has lots to offer for a biker or a hiker, or an artist or author. Come along with your friends and explore a variety or pursuits - golf, fishing, shooting, birdwatching, mountain climbing. It is an ideal location for hill walking, being adjacent to the popular Burrishoole / Lettermoghera Loop Walks (featured in Ireland Walks magazine) and also close to the Bangor Trail (48 km), regarded as one of the finest hill-walks in the country.
In the late '70's The Benson & Hedges Circuit of Ireland Car Rally was held on occasions through this rugged countryside. At present the Connaught Vintage Club take some tours in this area.
The beautiful seaside town of Newport, on the banks of the Brown Oak River, is only 5 miles away where there are shops, pubs, restaurants, 2 hotels and a children's playground. Visit Newport and enjoy the best of traditional Ireland.
